Healthy Apple "Donuts"

This is a fun, wholesome twist on donuts. Sweet, crunchy, and perfect for fall snacking!

Ingredients:


  • 4 apples

  • 1/2 cup peanut or almond butter 

  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips (melted)

  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts or almonds


Directions:


  1. Wash and core the apples. Slice them into 1/2-inch-thick rings.

  2. Spread a layer of peanut butter on each apple ring. If the peanut butter is too thick, you can warm it slightly to make it easier to spread.

  3. Sprinkle with the chopped peanuts or almonds.

  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and fully melted.

  5. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the apple rings using a spoon or piping bag.

  6. Place the apple rings in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.

  7. Serve as a healthy & delicious snack or dessert!
