Homemade Bread

This homemade bread is soft, golden, and full of classic, cozy flavor—a simple staple that’s always worth the effort.


Ingredients:


  • 7 cups all-purpose flour

  • 6 tsp yeast

  • 2 1/2 cups warm water

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

  • 4 tbsp melted butter


Directions:


  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir until dissolved and set aside for a few minutes to activate.

  2. Add the melted butter and mix well.

  3. Gradually add the flour and salt, stirring and kneading until a smooth dough forms.

  4. Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

  5. Punch down the dough and divide it evenly into two greased loaf tins.

  6. Let the dough rise again for 20 minutes.

  7. Preheat your oven to 400°F.

  8. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked.

  9. Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing.
