Cinnamon Sugar Apple Rings

These Fried Cinnamon Sugar Apple Rings are a fall favorite you won't want to miss:)

Ingredients:
For the apple rings:
3 large apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¾ cup water (adjust slightly if needed)
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Cinnamon sugar for coating
Ingredients:
For the yogurt dip:
1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp maple syrup
Directions:
For the apples:
Peel the apples if desired, then core and slice them into ¼-inch rings.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
Gradually add the water until the batter is smooth but not too runny. (Around the consistency of pancake batter)
Pour about 1 inch of oil into a deep skillet and heat it to 350°F (175°C).
Dip each apple ring into the batter and carefully place it into the hot oil.
Fry for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Toss the hot apple rings in your cinnamon sugar.
Directions:
For the yogurt:
Mix together the yogurt, cinnamon, and maple syrup until fully combined.
Top with a drizzle of maple syrup & a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
Serve with the apple rings and enjoy!🫶🏽
