Gingerbread Cookies

Chewy gingerbread cookies perfect for decorating or savoring straight from the oven!



Ingredients:


  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup molasses

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 egg

  • 5 cups flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 2 teaspoons ginger

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • Icing of your choice


Directions:


  1. In a bowl beat together your butter, sugar, vanilla, egg, and molasses.

  2. Next add in your spices and baking soda and whisk well.

  3. Lastly add in the flour and mix until fully incorporated.

  4. On a floured surface roll out your dough and cut into your desired shapes.

  5. Place your cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the freezer for 15 minutes.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until just set.

  7. Let cool before decorating.

  8. Enjoy!🫶🏽
