A fun and chocolatey twist on classic thumbprint cookies.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tbsp milk
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup hazelnuts or pecans (finely chopped)
1/4 cup Nutella (or any hazelnut spread)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg, vanilla extract, & milk, mixing until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms.
Roll the dough into balls, then gently roll each ball in chopped hazelnuts or pecans.
Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Make an indentation in the center of each dough ball with your thumb or a measuring spoon.
Use a spoon or piping bag to fill each indentation with Nutella.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are slightly firm.
Let the cookies cool completely.
Enjoy!🫶🏽
